Phoenix Suns star Kevin Durant and new Dallas Mavericks signing Klay Thompson shared a profitable historical past.
Durant praised Thompson after the sharpshooter posted a farewell message to the Golden State Warriors, his former longtime workforce, as he prepares to maneuver to Dallas.
“A Bay Area God. One chapter closes, another one opens. Keep doing u champ,” the two-time NBA Finals MVP commented on the Instagram submit.
Durant was Thompson’s teammate throughout his stint with the Warriors from 2016 to 2019. They gained two NBA championships collectively in 2017 and 2018 and narrowly missed out on a three-peat in 2019.
Both Durant and Thompson suffered season-ending Achilles and ACL accidents within the 2019 NBA Finals towards the Toronto Raptors.
