ICGS Rajkiran on her routine patrol on twenty second January 2023, to the Northern Group of Islands, sighted one suspected boat working in shut neighborhood of Barren Island. On twenty sixth January 2023 at 1500 hrs after finishing the combing completely, the whole Operation was referred to as off. Apprehended poachers together with troops have been embarked onboard ICGS Durgabai Deshmukh and ICGS Rajkiran and dropped at Port Blair.
On twenty seventh January 2023, each ships reached the Coast Guard Jetty at 0620 hrs. Post completion of the handing over formalities, all poachers have been handed over to the police (Central Crime Station) for additional plan of action.
