The Department of Sports shall be conducting choice trials throughout seven disciplines—Archery, Athletics, Badminton, Cycling, Swimming, Table Tennis, and Yogasana—for wild card entries into the upcoming Khelo India Youth Games (KIYG) 2025. The national-level sporting occasion is scheduled to happen in Bihar from May 4 to fifteen, 2025.
The trials shall be held on April 12, 2025, at 6 AM on the Netaji Stadium Sports Complex, Sri Vijaya Puram. Interested athletes are required to report back to the Assistant Director (Sports), Department of Sports on the venue with the mandatory paperwork.
As per the rules accredited by the Games Technical Conduct Committee (GTCC), the eligibility standards and documentation necessities for participation are as follows:
– Age Eligibility: Athletes should be born on or after January 1, 2007 (Under-18 class).
– Age Verification Documents (any two): Aadhaar Card or Passport, Matriculation Certificate & Birth Certificate (issued on or earlier than January 1, 2020, by Municipal Corporation or Gram Panchayat)
To be eligible to signify a State/UT, athletes should submit one of many following:
– State Domicile Certificate
The choice shall be primarily based on athletes’ performances in worldwide, nationwide, state, or district-level tournaments held throughout 2022, 2023, or 2024. Priority shall be given to States/UTs that had fewer participations within the earlier version of KIYG. Each State/UT shall be allotted just one wild card entry per occasion, and people already certified on benefit is not going to be eligible for a wild card slot in that individual occasion.
The Department of Sports has knowledgeable that solely lodging shall be supplied to members. Travel and every day allowances (TA/DA) must be borne by the members themselves.
