The Zonal Agriculture Office, Rangat, just lately organized a two-day coaching programme on Scientific Beekeeping on the Gram Panchayat Hall, Dashrathpur, below the MIDH scheme in affiliation with the National Bee Board, Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare. The programme aimed toward enhancing farmers’ data on scientific apiculture to spice up crop productiveness, enhance diet, and assist rural earnings via pollination-based agriculture.
Inaugurating the occasion, Mr. Ajit Dakua, Chairman, PACS Rangat, highlighted the rising significance of beekeeping and burdened the necessity to contain youth in apiculture for strengthening the farming group. Mr. Lankeshwar, PRI member, Dashrathpur, attended because the visitor of honour.
Ms. Shirly Thomas, Assistant Director (Agriculture), Rangat, briefed members on the scope, advantages, and agricultural significance of beekeeping.
On the second day, members visited a coconut plantation at Chitrakut, Rangat, for a sensible demonstration. Agriculture Field Assistant Mr. C. Santosh Kumar performed hands-on coaching on scientific honeybee rearing, new colony institution, and hive upkeep. (Story Based on PR)
