Firefighters from the Fire Station in Baratang carried out a complete hearth security inspection of auto ferry boats working alongside the Baratang–Middle Strait route, aimed toward reviewing current security measures and strengthening emergency preparedness.
The inspection lined vessels together with MV Lapathy, MVF Austin-IV, and MVF Austin-V. Officials examined key security elements resembling moveable hearth extinguishers, life-saving home equipment, designated escape routes, and emergency signage, taking into consideration vessel capability and passenger load.
As a part of the train, onboard coaching periods had been performed for crew members. Fire personnel demonstrated the right use of firefighting gear and briefed the crew on dealing with emergencies in confined marine areas, evacuation protocols, and hearth prevention measures.
The initiative was undertaken to reinforce the security of passengers and crew, safeguard authorities property, and reinforce adherence to fireplace security norms in marine transport providers working within the area.
