The Holiday Camp–2026, organized by the Science Centre at Goodwill Estate, commenced just lately with an inaugural session held on the Centre’s auditorium, drawing participation from over 100 college students throughout the Islands.
Inaugurating the camp, Dr. Jai Sunder, Director of ICAR-Central Island Agricultural Research Institute, highlighted the very important position of science in addressing present-day challenges and shaping a progressive society. He counseled the Science Centre for its continued efforts in organizing such initiatives, noting that they play a major position in fostering scientific temperament amongst younger learners from an early age.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Manu Vashishtha, Curator of the Science Centre, mentioned the month-long camp will embody a variety of participating actions akin to hands-on experiments, interactive classes, and publicity visits geared toward enhancing sensible understanding of science amongst members.
Earlier, welcoming the attendees, Debashis Paul, Education Officer of the Science Centre, knowledgeable that round 115 college students from each authorities and personal faculties have enrolled for the camp, which can proceed till May 31, 2026.
