Diglipur Police has registered a case underneath the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act after allegedly recovering about 208 grams of suspected ganja from a person at Shyam Nagar in Diglipur on August 26.
According to the FIR, police acquired credible info that Sushanta Sarkar, 46, of Shyam Nagar, was allegedly carrying a considerable amount of ganja and was more likely to meet potential prospects close to the bus stand near Government Middle School, Shyam Nagar.
A police raiding workforce, accompanied by a Gazetted Officer and two unbiased witnesses, proceeded to the spot and intercepted Sarkar on the bus stand.
