The District Administration, Nicobar, organised a two-day ‘Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore’ camp on the Special Relief Officer (SRO) Office, Teressa, on October 14 and 15, 2026, to offer authorities providers to residents at their doorstep.
The camp was attended by the Assistant Commissioner, Nancowry; Chairman, Tribal Council, Teressa; Assistant Education Officer, Nancowry; tribal leaders and numerous residents.
During the camp, the Assistant Commissioner, Nancowry, interacted with the gathering and briefed them on the initiative undertaken by the District Administration to facilitate entry to authorities providers.
Around 50 certificates have been issued throughout the camp, together with two Senior Citizen Certificates, 30 Income Certificates and 18 Scheduled Tribe Certificates.
The District Administration assured residents that related income camps could be organised at common intervals sooner or later.
