Advisory on Do’s and Don’ts in Case of Forest Fire Issued

A & N Islands are lined with 81% tropical rain forests of its whole geographical space and has a  wealthy heritage of biodiversity together with numerous eco-systems like marine, terrestrial, coastal, mangroves and so on. 

Extended summer time season could trigger forest fireplace as dry leafs are vulnerable and works pretty much as good gasoline. In previous, few forest fires have brought about harm to forest, wildlife and atmosphere. In view of this, Dr. Nitin Shakya, Director (Disaster Management), A&N Administration has requested the residents of rural areas surrounding forest to observe the advisory on Do’s and Don’ts of Forest Fire and to safeguard the eco-system of this territory.

Know your forest fireplace threat. Be conscious of climate updates, emergency directions of evacuation orders. Teach all family members the strategy of cease, drop and roll technique in case of fireside. Create a security zone by eradicating vegetation/articles that simply catch fireplace.
