With the onset of dry circumstances and low humidity — beneficial for pest infestation — the Department of Agriculture, Diglipur, has ramped up efforts to safeguard crops by conducting discipline visits and elevating consciousness amongst farmers. The division is selling prophylactic and management measures, together with the appliance of neem-based pesticides and the set up of yellow sticky traps at a price of 15 traps per hectare.
