The two-day Block Mela cum Tribal Food Festival was organised at Nancowrie on August 15 and 16, 2026, bringing collectively varied departments and stakeholders to showcase their actions and initiatives.
The Department of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services (AH&VS), Kamorta, actively participated within the programme by organising a departmental stall showcasing its varied actions, livestock improvement initiatives, veterinary companies, ongoing schemes and public consciousness supplies.
The stall highlighted key companies and welfare schemes being applied by AH&VS for livestock farmers and tribal communities within the area. It additionally supplied guests with data on the division’s initiatives aimed toward supporting livestock improvement and veterinary care.
In recognition of its presentation and efforts, the Department of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services secured the First Prize on the Block Mela.
