Andaman and Nicobar Administration has revised Minimum Wages throughout Andaman and Nicobar Islands w.e.f 1st January 2023. The revised wages for numerous classes of staff are as follows: (1) Unskilled – Rs. 529/- (2) Semi-Skilled/Unskilled Supervisory – Rs. 586/- (3) Skilled/Clerical – Rs. 671/- (4) Highly Skilled – Rs. 729/-.
The press launch from Andaman and Nicobar Administration knowledgeable that any violation of the Minimum Wage shall be seen severely and penal motion towards violators as per Section 22 of the Minimum Wages Act 1948 shall be initiated. All Establishments have been requested to make sure that the Minimum Wages are paid to the employees. The Workers and the Unions have additionally been requested to tell of any violation in writing to the Labour Commissioner.
