On the eve of the tenth anniversary of the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) initiative, a spirited Beach Sports occasion was organized at Kinyuka Beach, Car Nicobar, celebrating the empowerment of women and girls via sports activities.
The occasion noticed an enthusiastic turnout, with a spread of sports activities fostering teamwork, group spirit, and inclusivity. Mr. Amit Kale, IAS, Deputy Commissioner of Nicobar District, attended because the chief visitor, whereas the Women’s Representative of Kinyuka village graced the event because the visitor of honour.
The Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) of Car Nicobar welcomed the gathering and underscored the importance of the BBBP initiative in empowering women over the previous decade.
The celebrations featured an thrilling mixture of conventional and trendy sports activities, together with Kuhiol Kuk (Coconut Scraping), Women’s Tug of War, and Beach Volleyball.
