Chief Secretary, A & N Administration, Mr. Keshav Chandra, IAS, who’s on 5 days tour to Southern Group of Islands, reached Campbell Bay on ninth February 2023. On arrival at Campbell Bay Helipad, the Chief Secretary was warmly welcomed by the PRIs, Officers of various Departments, and others. He was accompanied by the Deputy Commissioner, Nicobars, Mr. Yash Chaudhary, IAS, SP Nicobars, Mr. Manjeet, IPS.
During the go to, the Chief Secretary visited Govt. Senior Secondary School, Campbell Bay, and interacted with the scholars and lecturers. The college students displayed varied artwork & craft fashions ready by them, and the Chief Secretary appreciated their creativity.
The Chief Secretary visited Primary Health Centre and interacted with the docs and paramedical employees. He enquired concerning the functioning of the PHC and the amenities out there there.
The Chief Secretary additionally visited Anganwadi Centre and interacted with Anganwadi Workers, moms and kids current on the heart.
The Chief Secretary additionally inspected the Power House and interacted with the Engineers and employees of the Electricity Department manning the Power House and urged them to make sure an uninterrupted energy provide.
The Chief Secretary additionally met with native representatives and PRIs at Campbell Bay Guest House. He additionally urged the involved officers to redress residents’ grievances on a precedence.
