Andaman & Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee President Mr. Rangalal Halder has voiced robust concern over the inordinate delay within the restore and upkeep of the Dharamsala located close to Marina Park, which falls underneath the jurisdiction of the Sri Vijaya Puram Municipal Council (SVPMC).
In a letter addressed to the Secretary of SVPMC, Andaman and Nicobar Administration, Mr. Halder identified that the power has remained in a state of disrepair for over a 12 months, with no substantial progress in renovation work. He stated the extended inaction has rendered the Dharamsala unusable, severely affecting inter-island travellers who depend on it for reasonably priced lodging, particularly these accompanying sufferers in search of medical therapy in Sri Vijaya Puram.
“The delay raises serious questions about the efficiency and commitment of the contractor executing the project,” Halder said, emphasizing the necessity for speedy administrative intervention. He criticized the shortage of accountability, which he stated is inflicting important hardship to weak sections of the inhabitants.
Calling the state of affairs “unacceptable,” Mr. Halder urged the administration to research the explanations behind the delay, expedite the restore work, and make sure that these accountable are held accountable. He appealed for swift and decisive motion to revive the Dharamsala’s performance within the bigger curiosity of public welfare.
