Dhairya, a outstanding NGO primarily based in Sri Vijaya Puram, has appealed to the Directorate of Shipping Services (DSS) to introduce further sailings between Sri Vijaya Puram and Campbell Bay through the upcoming summer season trip.
In a letter addressed to the Director of Shipping Services, Abdul Sajid, President of Dhairya, highlighted the urgent want for additional sailings to accommodate the surge in passengers through the trip interval. The letter emphasised that a lot of academics, college students, and authorities workers journey between these locations through the summer season, and the present crusing schedule typically proves insufficient, resulting in important inconvenience.
“The current schedule is unable to meet the increased demand during the summer vacation, resulting in travel difficulties for many passengers. Additional sailings will help ease this burden and ensure smoother and more efficient travel,” the letter acknowledged.
Dhairya has urged the Directorate to take immediate motion and schedule additional sailings to facilitate hassle-free journey through the peak season. The NGO expressed confidence that the authorities would handle the matter promptly within the curiosity of public comfort.
The request has been met with optimistic anticipation from the local people, who hope that further sailings will alleviate the journey challenges confronted through the summer season months.
