The Veterinary Hospital, Diglipur, in collaboration with the Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA), organised an illustration programme on built-in fish and duck farming on the fish-cum-duck pond of Ms. Pushpa Mondal, a progressive poultry and duck farmer from Subhashgram village.
The programme aimed to advertise sustainable and cost-effective farming practices amongst native farmers. During the session, contributors have been educated on the advantages of integrating duck rearing with fish tradition, whereby geese are raised on or round fish ponds and their droppings act as pure manure.
