In adherence to the Chief Secretary’s directive mandating quarterly mock drills throughout all departments, the Directorate of Disaster Management carried out a multi-disaster mock drill at Sri Vijaya Puram Municipal Council (SVPMC) on March 5, 2025. The train simulated earthquake, tsunami, and fireplace situations to evaluate the preparedness degree of the Council and response businesses.
As per the drill state of affairs, all SVPMC employees adopted earthquake security protocols and commenced evacuating instantly after the simulated tremors stopped at 11:00 AM.
