The Department of Science & Technology (DST), A&N Administration, Dollygunj, commemorated Earth Day 2025 on twenty first April 2025, with a fascinating academic tour below the worldwide theme “Our Power, Our Planet.”
As a part of the celebration, DST organized a trekking expedition for 81 college students from Government Senior Secondary School, Bathubasti, Sri Vijaya Puram. The college students launched into a trek from Munda Pahad Beach to the Munda Pahad Hilltop, immersing themselves within the pure magnificence and ecological significance of the area.
Along the path, college students had been launched to the distinctive flora of the hill, enhancing their consciousness of the native biodiversity. Upon reaching the summit, an interactive consciousness session was performed by Mr. V. Satyanarayana, Librarian at DST. He emphasised the important function of Planet Earth in sustaining life and inspired college students to mirror on their tasks towards environmental conservation.
The session noticed enthusiastic participation, with college students actively sharing their ideas and concepts on defending the planet, reaffirming their dedication to a sustainable future.
