The Directorate of Shipping Services (DSS) performed an earthquake mock drill at its fundamental Administrative Building premises on Wednesday, as a part of its preparedness measures for catastrophe administration.
The drill was carried out below the supervision of the Nodal Officer (Disaster Management), DSS, and witnessed energetic participation from staff of the DSS Administrative Building, Information Centre, and STARS Ticketing Counter, together with the Directorate’s Disaster Management Team.
During the train, a complete of 129 personnel had been safely evacuated to a delegated shelter level, demonstrating immediate and orderly response. The mock situation additionally included the rescue of a simulated injured particular person, who was instantly offered first support and evacuated by the response workforce.
