In a bid to reinforce the security of marine fishing communities within the Nicobar Islands, the ICAR-Central Island Agricultural Research Institute (ICAR-CIARI) organized a centered consciousness program on using Distress Alert Transmitters (DATs) for the Nicobarese tribal fishers. The occasion was held on twenty ninth May 2025 on the Tribal Council workplace in Car Nicobar.
DATs are more and more being acknowledged as life-saving units that enable fishers to ship quick misery indicators and obtain well timed help throughout emergencies at sea.
