In a landmark growth for the training sector in South Andaman, the long-standing imaginative and prescient of creating a Zilla Parishad Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya (ZPVKV) in Guptapara has taken a significant step ahead. The Deputy Commissioner of South Andaman has formally allotted one hectare of land close to Guptapara Junction—previously a rubber plantation website—for the development of the varsity. The allotment was issued beneath Order No. R.C. No. 481/2024/DC/SA.
This milestone marks the end result of a 20-year pursuit by Mr. Prakash Adhikari, Adhyaksh of South Andaman, who first envisioned the mission throughout his tenure as a Zilla Parishad Member in 2005. His persistent efforts have been geared toward bettering academic alternatives for kids in rural areas corresponding to Manglutan, Guptapara, Wandoor, Sippighat, and close by villages.
Speaking on the event, Mr. Adhikari expressed deep satisfaction and emotional achievement on the growth. “This school will not just be a center for academic learning—it will be a pillar of values, discipline, and opportunity for generations to come,” he acknowledged.
He additional assured that development will start on the earliest, with a powerful dedication to opening the varsity for college kids as quickly as attainable.
The institution of ZPVKV, Guptapara, is predicted to considerably improve entry to high quality training within the area, fulfilling a long-standing promise to the group and laying a powerful basis for the way forward for South Andaman’s youth.
