The Department of Tourism, A&N Administration, in collaboration with the Department of Environment & Forests and the Gram Panchayat, Shoal Bay, will set up a Mangrove Walk at Shoal Bay on November 8, 2025, from 8 AM to 10 AM.
The initiative goals to advertise eco-tourism and self-employment alternatives for native youth by encouraging them to take up eco-guiding and conservation-linked livelihood actions. Participants will get a first-hand expertise of the varied wildlife of the mangrove ecosystem, guided by consultants from the Forest Department who will clarify the ecological significance and biodiversity of the world.
Participation is restricted to 50 individuals, with precedence given to native youth from close by areas as a part of a self-employment era initiative. The Department has additionally invited tour operators, tourism stakeholders, naturalists, environmentalists, and vacationers to hitch the occasion.
