Can Kyrie and Luka co-exist?
Although questions have been within the air on how Irving might co-exist with resident star Luka Doncic, Mavs head coach Jason Kidd supplied a distinct view of issues when he spoke on “The Saturday Stein Line with Marc Stein.”
“Looking at our roster, hopefully we don’t have to play [Luka] 40-plus minutes a night,” Kidd began. “But I think right now I’m excited with Luka and [Kyrie Irving] and having Luka ready to go and to achieve his goals, and that’s to win a championship.”
The key take there may be Doncic not being tasked to play heavy minutes. The Slovenian has not been spared from accidents, notably his quad situation.
When the Mavericks opened coaching camp, the four-time All-Star guard addressed his well being standing and mentioned that his damage is enhancing, SI.com reported.
“It’s better,” Doncic mentioned. “We still have some appointments, so when we get a clear [idea] of what it is, we’ll let you guys know.”
