As a part of the Swachhta Hi Sewa marketing campaign, the Mayabunder Forest Division performed in depth clean-up drives at numerous seashores beneath its jurisdiction in collaboration with native residents.
In a simultaneous effort to advertise environmental consciousness and afforestation by neighborhood participation, the Division additionally organized a mass plantation drive.
The occasion noticed enthusiastic participation from officers throughout a number of departments, together with the Divisional Forest Officer, Assistant Conservator of Forests, Block Development Officer, and native PRI members of Mayabunder. Nearly 1,000 fruit-bearing seedlings—together with Indian Gooseberry, Tamarind, Noni, Guava, Black Plum, Lemon, Custard Apple, Mango, Jackfruit, and different native fruit species—have been planted through the drive.
