In honor of his mom Deloris P. Jordan’s lifelong devotion to youngsters and households, Michael Jordan has dedicated $10 million to the University of North Carolina School of Social Work — the most important single present within the faculty’s historical past, the varsity introduced this week.
The present renames the varsity’s Global Social Development Innovations heart because the Deloris P. Jordan Global Social Development Innovations Center and establishes the Jordan Family Scholars program. Ten college students have been named as this system’s first recipients, every receiving a $12,500 scholarship, the varsity stated.
