As a part of the continuing Monsoon Book Reading Festival 2.0, the State Library, Sri Vijaya Puram, beneath the Directorate of Education, organised a collection of participating competitions for primary-level college students on Sunday. The occasion was a part of the month-long celebration being held on all Sundays of October 2025.
The actions included a Word Building Competition, Picture Hunt, and Draw Your Book contests designed for college kids from Classes I to V. The initiative aimed to advertise studying habits, foster creativity, and supply a platform for younger learners to specific their love for literature. Students from each authorities and personal faculties throughout the islands participated with nice enthusiasm.
During the prize distribution ceremony, Ms. Archana Singh, Deputy Director (Planning), Directorate of Education, who was the chief visitor, interacted with the members and inspired them to make full use of the State Library’s services. She highlighted the library’s intensive assortment of kids’s books, storybooks, fiction, and assets for aggressive exams, in addition to its peaceable studying space. Ms. Singh additionally knowledgeable that related weekly programmes would proceed to be organised for college kids.
Prizes had been awarded to the winners of the three competitions as a token of appreciation and motivation. The occasion concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Mr. Anbarasan, In-charge of the State Library.
