Mr. Anil Kumar Tiwari, newly elected State President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) within the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, paid a courtesy go to to Admiral D. Okay. Joshi, PVSM, AVSM, YSM, NM, VSM, (Retd.) Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor and Vice‑Chairman of the Islands Development Agency, at Raj Niwas on ninth July 2025.
During the assembly, the Hon’ble Lt Governor prolonged his congratulations to Mr. Tiwari on assuming the brand new position and conveyed his greatest needs for a profitable and impactful tenure in service of the Islands’ folks.
Mr. Tiwari was formally appointed to the place on July 1, 2025, succeeding Mr. Ajoy Bairagi, in a proper inner election the place he ran unopposed.
At the formal introduction occasion, Mr. Tiwari had pledged to deal with native issues promptly.
Expressing gratitude, he had personally thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP National President J.P. Nadda, and Organisation General Secretary B.L. Santosh for putting their confidence in him after his appointment because the state president.
