The Nicobar District Police concluded the week-long observance of the 74th Police Raising Day on January 22, 2026, with a conventional Bada Khana organised on the District Headquarters in Car Nicobar. The celebrations, held from January 16 to 22, have been marked by a collection of community-oriented, sports activities and consciousness programmes throughout the district, aimed toward strengthening police–public relations and selling social consciousness.

As a part of the observance, varied police stations organised sporting occasions to actively interact college students and most people. On January 17, Police Station Nancowrie organised a tug-of-war competitors for college college students on the Kamorta School Ground to encourage teamwork and bodily health amongst youth. Volleyball tournaments and different community-based sports activities actions have been additionally carried out by police stations at a number of areas, together with Lapathy Beach by PS Car Nicobar, Government Model Secondary School, Kamorta by PS Nancowrie, Goal Tikrey by PS Katchal, and GSSS Campbell Bay Ground by PS Campbell Bay, witnessing enthusiastic participation from college students and native residents.

Continuing the celebrations, PS Campbell Bay organised a cycle rally on January 20 to advertise health and civic consciousness. On January 21, PS Car Nicobar carried out a five-kilometre marathon run, categorised by age teams, by which winners have been awarded prizes. Mr. Rahul L. Nair, IPS, Superintendent of Police, Nicobar District, participated within the occasion and interacted with the youth, motivating them to work in the direction of a more healthy and extra accountable future.

Awareness programmes shaped a key element of the Raising Day Week. PS Nancowrie organised an interactive programme at Chota Enaka Community Hall, sensitising round 35 college students on cybercrime, visitors guidelines and the ailing results of alcohol. Similarly, PS Campbell Bay carried out consciousness programmes at GSSS Vijay Nagar and Rajiv Nagar Village, attended by about 60 college students and 30 villagers respectively, specializing in substance abuse prevention and cyber security.

The week-long observance culminated with the Bada Khana, which introduced collectively police personnel and their households in a heat and celebratory ambiance. Mr. Amit Kale, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Nicobar District, attended the occasion as a particular visitor, alongside senior officers and workers of the district police.

Through the collection of sports activities, outreach and consciousness actions, the Nicobar District Police reaffirmed their dedication to neighborhood engagement, public consciousness and constructing stronger bonds of belief with the folks of the district.
