Morris spoke on the incident this week on the All The Smoke Podcast with former NBA gamers Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson, vowing to get again on Jokic for the hit.
“Sucker shot. That’s what we call it in my hood. Took a sucker shot. They call it snuck. He snuck me. It was a sucker shot. He’s gonna get his, though. Don’t trip,” the 34-year-old stated.
Following the incident, Jokic was suspended for one sport with out pay, whereas Morris was fined $50,000.
“It’s a stupid play, I feel bad. I’m not supposed to react that way, but it’s in the middle of the game, I get hit … I just needed to protect myself,” Jokic stated again in 2021 after the incident.

Morris sustained a whiplash from the incident and missed a big chunk of the 2021-22 NBA season due to it.
