Raptors’ RJ Barrett Speaks Out for First Time After Heartbreaking Demise of His Brother

Toronto Raptors ahead RJ Barrett has rejoined the group and addressed the media for the primary time because the tragic passing of his brother earlier this month.

Nathan Tyler Barrett, the 19-year-old brother of the Raptors wing, tragically handed away on March 12, in response to an announcement launched by the group and Canada Basketball.

“This one is definitely a little different, it’s a lot tougher, and I just think that you’ve gotta push forward every day, gotta be able to try to figure it out. If I know my brother, he would want me to be here, to be playing, to try to continue to make the Barrett legacy grow,” the 23-year-old instructed the media throughout group follow on Friday, March 29.

Barrett’s father, Rowan, can also be the final supervisor of the nation’s males’s nationwide basketball group, which is why the franchise and Canada’s basketball federation issued a joint assertion relating to the tragic occasion. 

RJ Barrett nonetheless makes normal behavior with brother

The former Knicks star revealed that he nonetheless communicates along with his brother, even after his passing. 

“You know he was my best friend. I’m always missing him. I still text him. I still call them sometimes, but yeah, just a tough time but I’m thankful for just all the support from everybody,” Barrett admitted.

The reason behind his brother’s passing was not disclosed, though stories indicated that he had been unwell for a number of weeks main as much as his demise.
