Former zonal director of Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), Sameer Wankhede has lastly reacted to Bollywood celebrity Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘bete ko haath’ remark. Sameer grabbed loads of limelight in 2021 as he was a part of the search workforce that arrested the actor’s son Aryan Khan.
In a latest interview, Sameer Wankhede was requested about Shah Rukh Khan’s 2023 movie Jawan dialogue ‘Bete ko haath lagane se pehle baap se baat kar (Before touching my son, discuss to the daddy)’ being an oblique trace in the direction of him. The former NCB official refused to touch upon the controversy as he known as Shah Rukh Khan’s dialogue ‘low-cost’ and added that he doesn’t wish to give publicity to anybody unnecessarily.
Sameer appeared on The Gaurav Thakur Show and mentioned, ‘Dekhiye mein kisi ka naam leke kisi ko well-known nahi karna chahta hoon. Jo chats leak vagairah hein woh honourable High Court ke saame hain toh uspe koi tippani nahi dena chahunga primary (I don’t wish to take names and make anybody well-known. Whatever the chat leaks occurred the case is with the High Court so I can not touch upon that)’.
He additional added saying, ‘Aur ye joh dialogue hain jo apne kaha hain… primary motion pictures dekhta nahi hoon, jyada nahi dekhta motion pictures, so yeh jo phrases hain… ’baap’, ‘beta’ ye bahot hello low-cost aur third-rate phrases lagte hain mujhe. Humare bharatiye sanskriti primary aise phrases istemaal nahi karte. Toh ye road-side dialogues hain and I don’t anticipate myself ki ye stage pe jaake primary ye road-side dialogues ka jawaab doon (And this dialogue which you talked about, phrases like ‘baap’ and ‘beta’ sound very low-cost and third-rate based on me. In Indian tradition we don’t use these phrases. I can’t be anticipated to go all the way down to that stage and reply to them)!’.
Later, in 2023 a case was filed in opposition to 5 individuals together with Sameer by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). The case was filed in connection to the October 2021 cruise drug case whereby Shah Rukh Khan’s elder son Aryan obtained arrested.
