A State Level Medical Board has been constituted and accepted by the competent authority to investigate into the instances of Medical Negligence by Public/Private Hospitals, Staff and Doctors. The board will enquire into complaints of medical negligence from all three districts of Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
The Board Constitutes of:
1 Director, ANIIMS, Port Blair – Chairman
2 Director of Health Services, A & N Administration – Member
3 Medical Superintendent – Member Secretary
4 Member from District Indian Medical Association – Member
5 Subject Specialist/HOD associated to the Complaint – Member
6 Section In-charge, Legal, ANIIMS – Member
The board is empowered to name and search the help of anybody or any file related to the criticism. The board may also be empowered to examine the premises as per the necessity of the case. The board, after enquiry, will submit the report back to the Chairman, i.e. Director, ANIIMS. Director, ANIIMS shall take obligatory motion or ahead the report back to the competent authority.
