In a first-of-its-kind initiative, the Surya Namaskar Challenge was efficiently organised on July 11, 2025, on the Model School Hall, drawing enthusiastic participation from over 120 college students representing each authorities and personal faculties.
The occasion noticed the presence of Dr. Shweta, a famous yoga professional, because the chief visitor. Addressing the gathering of scholars, academics, and oldsters, Dr. Shweta underscored the significance of Surya Namaskar in sustaining bodily and psychological well-being. She inspired everybody to include the traditional yogic follow into their day by day routines to guide more healthy lives.
The competitors was held in two sections—girls and boys—and witnessed commendable performances from the younger members. In the boys’ part, B. Raju from Government Senior Secondary School (GSS) Junglighat secured the primary place, adopted by Kunal Uraon, additionally from GSS Junglighat, in second place. The third place went to Seshanda Das from GSS Manglutan.
In the ladies’ part, Sriyanka Roy from Senior Secondary School Sagritara claimed the highest spot, whereas L. Kumari from GSS Junglighat stood second. S. Diviya Bharati from GSSS Rangachang secured the third place.
The occasion was broadly appreciated for selling yoga amongst college college students and fostering a spirit of wholesome competitors.
