A two-day coaching programme beneath the Social Awareness & Action to Neutralize Pneumonia Successfully (SAANS) initiative was performed on February 13 and 14, 2025, at AYUSH Hospital and G.B. Pant Hospital, Sri Vijaya Puram. The programme aimed to boost the talents of healthcare professionals in detecting, diagnosing, and managing childhood pneumonia, a number one trigger of kid mortality.
The coaching was led by eminent medical specialists, together with Dr. S. Sunil Kumar, Deputy Director (HE), Dr. Pragathesh, Professor & HoD, Department of Paediatrics, ANIIMS, Dr. Ritu Singh, Professor, Department of Paediatrics, and Dr. Reema Dakua, Senior Resident, Department of Paediatrics, ANIIMS. They supplied hands-on coaching to Medical Officers from numerous well being establishments throughout the area.
The programme concluded on February 14, with Dr. H.M. Siddaraju, Director of Health Services (I/c), gracing the event because the chief visitor. He handed over certificates to the contributors and emphasised the significance of initiatives like SAANS in combating childhood pneumonia and lowering morbidity and mortality charges.
The SAANS initiative focuses on elevating consciousness in communities and strengthening healthcare interventions for the prevention, safety, and administration of pneumonia amongst youngsters. The coaching programme is anticipated to contribute considerably to bettering pediatric healthcare companies within the area.
