In a step towards environmental sustainability, the Government Press Employees Thrift and Credit Cooperative Society Ltd., in collaboration with the Office of the Registrar of Cooperative Societies, organized a tree plantation drive on Wednesday beneath the theme ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’.
The occasion, held on the premises of the Government Press in Sri Vijaya Puram, was a part of the continued observance of the International Year of Cooperatives. It witnessed enthusiastic participation from numerous dignitaries and employees, reflecting the cooperative spirit and dedication to neighborhood welfare.
Among these current have been the Assistant Registrar of Cooperative Societies, the Manager of the Government Press, the Chief Editor of The Daily Telegrams, Inspectors of Cooperative Societies (Urban), in addition to the Chairman, Secretary, and different Board Members of the Society. Staff of the Government Press additionally joined within the initiative.
Saplings have been planted as a symbolic gesture to honor moms and lift consciousness about environmental conservation. The drive emphasised the position of cooperative societies in selling sustainable practices and fostering neighborhood engagement. The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by the Secretary of the Society, who expressed appreciation to all individuals for his or her assist in making the occasion a hit.
