As a part of the World Tourism Day 2025 celebrations, the Directorate of Information, Publicity & Tourism (IP&T), A&N Administration, has introduced an Underwater Photography Contest scheduled from September 20 to 25, 2025.
Participants are invited to seize their greatest underwater photographs throughout the contest interval and submit their entries together with the date and time of the {photograph}. Applications with images should be submitted to the Adventure Water Sports Section, Directorate of IP&T, Sri Vijaya Puram, by 10 am on September 26.
Attractive prizes have been introduced for the winners, with the primary prize carrying Rs. 6,000, the second prize Rs. 4,000, and the third prize Rs. 2,000.
The initiative goals to have a good time the islands’ wealthy marine variety whereas encouraging pictures fans to showcase the charming underwater world of the Andamans.
