The Veterinary Dispensary, Elephant Point, organized a distribution drive of day-old Vanaraja chicks for residents of Ograbraj, Muslimbasti, and Mithakhari villages underneath Gram Panchayat Mithakhari. The occasion occurred on the Panchayat Bhawan, Gram Panchayat Mithakhari.
The program was attended by Mrs. Lalita Tigga, Block Development Officer; Mr. Mohd Safiq, Pradhan, Gram Panchayat Mithakhari; and Ms. Sanjhali Soren, Senior Veterinary Officer, Veterinary Dispensary, Elephant Point. As a part of the initiative, a quick coaching session on poultry administration was carried out to equip the farmers with primary know-how.
Approximately 45 farmers benefited from the distribution.
Mr. Mohd Safiq lauded the Department of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services (AH&VS) for its commendable efforts in selling rural livelihoods and poultry-based self-employment by such initiatives.
The initiative is geared toward empowering native communities by enabling sustainable revenue era by yard poultry farming.
