Mr. Vishal Jolly, National Executive Member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and former State President of BJP-ANI, has made a proper request to the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Andaman & Nicobar Islands for the discharge of 1/thirtieth pay with arrears courting again to September 2017 to all DRMs.
In a letter addressed to the Hon’ble Lt. Governor, Mr. Jolly highlighted the long-standing concern raised by the Andaman Nicobar Rajya Karmachari Mahasangh, in the course of the 12 months 2022. The federation has been advocating for the granting of 1/thirtieth of Pay to all Daily Rated Mazdoors (DRMs). The matter has seen a number of protests, with the BJP displaying its assist for the trigger at varied ranges.
Thanks to the collective efforts, the authorities intervened and granted 1/thirtieth of Pay to all DRMs, acknowledging the significance of their calls for. However, Mr. Jolly underscored that the occasion has continued to advocate for the retrospective impact of this choice from September 2017. This implies that the DRMs are looking for arrears for the previous years throughout which the demand was pending.
Mr. Jolly expressed the collective hope of all working DRMs that the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor will think about their plea and sanction the 1/thirtieth pay with retrospective impact from September 2017. He emphasised that such a beneficial choice wouldn’t solely handle the long-standing considerations of the employees but additionally serve the bigger curiosity of the working class.
