As a part of the celebration of National Sports Day 2026, the Deputy Education Office, Wimberlygunj, organised a sequence of Inter-School sporting occasions for girls and boys of the Wimberlygunj Educational Zone from August 19 to 29.
The 10-day sporting occasion featured competitions in Table Tennis, Badminton, Hockey and Road Race throughout numerous age and class teams, offering faculty college students a chance to showcase their sporting expertise and aggressive spirit.
The finale of the celebrations was held on the Mini Stadium, Wimberlygunj, and commenced with a floral tribute and garlanding of the portrait of legendary Indian hockey participant Major Dhyan Chand, whose start anniversary is noticed as National Sports Day.
