USA midfielder Yunus Musah has shared intimately the time he felt unsafe whereas taking part in for Valencia resulting from its discontented supporters.
The final season was not that fairly for the Spanish membership, spending more often than not in peril of getting relegated. The followers had been so upset with their marketing campaign that they projected their anger on the participant themselves.
The 20-year-old revealed the followers’ disappointment got here to a boiling level in January after they misplaced to Athletic Bilbao in Copa Del Rey. He stated the supporters trapped them within the stadium after the match.
“They didn’t let us get out of the stadium that night … it was unsafe for us to get out. And then my brother came to pick me up in my car. He went to take it from the garage, and then met me at the front gate at the stadium,” stated Musah who was a part of Valencia’s youth staff and was signed by the senior staff in 2020.
“And when I went, I quickly had to run inside the car because there was some fans running at me. When I got in the car, they started throwing things at the car and everything.”

Eventually, Valencia was capable of flip across the season and prevented getting relegated by ending in 16th place, simply two spots forward of the relegation.
Reunion with USMNT as a restorative expertise
Musah is again with the USA National Team for the CONCACAF Nations League and he known as the ambiance a “restorative experience” he wanted.
“I feel like it did some good for me to come here with the national team and prepare for Nations League and everything with the guys, because I haven’t even thought about the last part of the season with Valencia while I was here,” he stated.
