An Awareness-Cum-Eye Screening Camp was organised in Bathubasti on the event of World Sight Day 2026 by Port Blair Guru Ki Rasoi (PBGKR), in collaboration with the Directorate of Health Services (DHS) and G.B. Pant Hospital, in affiliation with Mr. V. Vetri Velu, Councillor of Ward No. 19 and Senior Vice Chairperson, SVPMC.
The camp was held on the Councillor’s Office, Bathubasti, with the target of selling consciousness about eye well being, encouraging common eye screening and educating the neighborhood on the significance of sustaining wholesome eyesight.
