As a part of the continued observance of the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, the Directorate of Social Welfare organized an consciousness programme on the Delanipur Sanitary Office. The occasion was performed underneath the National Action Plan for Drug Demand Reduction (NAPDDR) and Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, in collaboration with SVPMC, Anti-Narcotic-CID, and the Integrated Rehabilitation Centre for Addicts.
The programme witnessed the participation of Senior Sanitary Inspector, Sanitary Inspectors from Ward Nos. 3, 7, and eight, representatives from SVPMC, and Safai Mitras. The session aimed to teach contributors in regards to the dangerous results of substance abuse, emphasize the significance of early intervention and rehabilitation, and promote lively neighborhood involvement in making a drug-free society.
A key spotlight of the programme was a road play and a self-composed poem carried out by the Swachta Awareness Team, creatively specializing in the hazards of dependancy whereas additionally selling messages of cleanliness and sobriety.
This initiative is a part of a broader collection of actions being performed throughout the Union Territory underneath the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan to mobilise residents and stakeholders within the collective combat towards drug abuse.
