A two-day Block Level Inclusive Sports Meet for Children with Special Needs (CwSN) beneath Inclusive Education was held at Government Middle School, Kamorta, Nancowrie, on October 31 and November 1, 2025. The occasion aimed to foster inclusivity, participation, and sportsmanship amongst CwSN and their friends.
The meet was divided into two segments — Elementary Level (Pre-Primary to Class VIII) and Secondary Level (Classes IX to XII) — each witnessing enthusiastic participation from college students throughout the block.
The Elementary Level section started with a proper inauguration ceremony graced by Ms. Molly Lily, Principal of GSSS Champin, who attended because the Chief Guest. She was joined by Mr. Om Prakash, Block Project Officer, Nancowrie, and Mr. Moses, PGT, GSSS Bengali, Teressa. The occasion opened with a march previous by CwSN college students, adopted by a sequence of sporting competitions together with operating race, ball throw, lemon and spoon race, frog race, and hit the goal. A complete of 25 college students participated on this section.
The Secondary Level occasion commenced with a welcome music carried out by a CwSN scholar, setting a cheerful tone for the day. It featured a yoga demonstration together with contests akin to chess, ball throw, lemon and spoon race, passing the ball, and musical chair. Students additionally showcased their creativity by means of cultural performances, together with speeches, dances, and songs. Fifteen college students took half within the Secondary Level actions.
At the valedictory operate, Ms. Molly Lily distributed prizes to the winners and congratulated all contributors for his or her spirit and efficiency.
The Inclusive Sports Meet efficiently promoted equal alternatives for Children with Special Needs by integrating them with their friends in sports activities and bodily actions. The total program was coordinated by Mr. Elamaran S., Special Educator.
