CITU Welcomes Determination to Grant Bonus to all DRMs of APWD

CITU, Andaman and Nicobar State Committee has welcomed the choice of the Andaman  & Nicobar Administration  to grant  Bonus to all of the day by day rated mazdoors working  within the APWD,  for the monetary yr 2021-22.  CITU has referred to as upon the Administration to increase the good thing about bonus to additionally the day by day rated mazdoors working in all different departments beneath the A & N Administration with none additional delay.

Though the Chief Engineer, APWD vide his letter dated fifteenth June, 2017 , with copy to ASNVMS, had directed all of the Superintending Engineers and Executive Engineers of APWD to take needed motion in accordance with the  OM dated third October, 2016 of the Ministry of Finance, Govt. of India, the identical was not applied.  

When the APWD  didn’t  pay the bonus to the  DRMs and  backtracked from the dedication made earlier than the National Lok Adalat and didn’t  implement the order of the Lok Adalat dated ninth April, 2015, the ASNVMS filed a Writ Petition within the Hon’ble High Court at Calcutta and  obtained a beneficial order. 

When the Administration didn’t act upon the orders of the Hon’ble High Court, the ASNVMS filed a Contempt Petition earlier than the Court. While the mentioned contempt petition was pending earlier than the Hon’ble High Court, the Administration had determined to grant the Bonus solely to these day by day rated mazdoors who had been benefitted with the 1/thirtieth of pay plus DA. 

ASNVMS and CITU protested towards this determination of the Administration and demanded to pay the bonus to all of the day by day rated mazdoors. 

CITU and Unions affiliated to it have been conducting agitations with these calls for for the final a number of years.  CITU has reiterated its demand to increase the Bonus to all of the day by day rated mazdoors working beneath the Administration with impact from the monetary yr 2015-16.
