Andaman & Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee (ANTCC) organized the ‘Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim, Jai Samvidhan Rally’ on 04th January 2025, following directives from the All India Congress Committee (AICC). The rally was a protest in opposition to the BJP, accusing the social gathering of insulting freedom fighters and undermining the Constitution.
Led by ANTCC President Mr. Rangalal Halder and Campaign Committee Chairman Mr. TSG Bhasker, Congress employees gathered in giant numbers to voice their opposition. The march started at Gandhi Bhawan, proceeded to the Clock Tower, and returned to its start line. Along the route, Congress leaders paid floral tributes to the statues of Mahatma Gandhi, Indira Gandhi, and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.
The rally condemned Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s current remarks within the Rajya Sabha, which the Congress claimed had been disrespectful to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. The social gathering leaders demanded Amit Shah’s resignation, reaffirming their dedication to preserving the legacies of Mahatma Gandhi and Dr. Ambedkar, rooted in justice and equality.
Several senior Congress leaders, together with AICC members, Territorial Congress Committee (TCC) members, Block Congress Committee (BCC) members, and representatives from numerous frontal organisations, departments, and native our bodies, participated within the occasion.
Speaking on the rally, the Congress leaders emphasised the significance of safeguarding the Constitution and standing in opposition to any try and erode the values of India’s freedom fighters.
