As a part of the nationwide Khet Bachao Abhiyan, the ICAR-Central Island Agricultural Research Institute (ICAR-CIARI) organised an consciousness programme at Gram Panchayat Wandoor on Monday to advertise sustainable agricultural practices and soil well being administration amongst farmers.
A complete of 12 farmers, together with 4 males and eight ladies from Wandoor village, participated within the programme geared toward encouraging the adoption of eco-friendly farming strategies.

Dr. Sharath S. Yeligar, Scientist at ICAR-CIARI, Sri Vijaya Puram, spoke on the economics of agriculture and highlighted cost-effective farming approaches, environment friendly useful resource administration, and techniques for enhancing farm revenue. He underscored the necessity for farmers to optimise obtainable sources whereas adopting sustainable applied sciences to enhance profitability.
