Continuous rainfall on May 24 and 25 triggered a landslide within the Sippighat space, resulting in the dislocation of two main gravity pipelines originating from the Dhanikhari Dam. The affected pipelines—a 500mm diameter Ductile Iron (D.I) line supplying uncooked water to the Garacharma Water Treatment Plant and a 500mm diameter Cast Iron (C.I) pipeline supplying uncooked water to the Old Plant at Lamba Line—have been subsequently shut down for restore and restoration.
