Hon’ble MP Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray has welcomed the clarification issued by the A&N Administration confirming that the method for establishing a devoted Directorate of Information Technology is already underway.
In response to the MP’s earlier letter dated 22.05.2025, the Administration has said {that a} detailed work examine has been accomplished by means of ISTM (DoPT), and a complete proposal protecting IT cadre restructuring, creation of devoted posts, price range allocation, and strengthening of IT governance is into account.
The MP expressed satisfaction over this optimistic step and said that establishing an IT Directorate will considerably improve digital governance and open new alternatives for the youth of the Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
