Nishimura’s 63 Leads Arkansas LPGA; Hull Two Again After Overcoming Sickness

Yuna Nishimura of Japan shot a 9-under-par 63 on Friday to take a one-stroke lead after the opening spherical of the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship at Pinnacle Country Club in Rogers, Arkansas, the LPGA reported.

Nishimura’s spherical paced low scoring throughout the sphere, per TSN and Yahoo Sports. Her 63 left her one stroke clear getting into Saturday, with England’s Charley Hull taking pictures a 7-under 65 to share third place, Golf Channel reported. Hull, who overcame a bout of tonsillitis following the Solheim Cup to make the journey to Arkansas, per Golf Channel and Sky Sports, was two strokes off the lead after a gap spherical that reestablished her well being and her kind.

The Walmart NW Arkansas Championship attracts a aggressive worldwide discipline annually. Nishimura leads by one heading into the second spherical, although the bunched leaderboard — Athlon Sports described her margin as leaving “little room” on the high — means the sphere will likely be tightly compressed when play resumes Saturday.

Second spherical play is scheduled for Saturday, with the ultimate spherical Sunday.
